Are you ready to take control of your health? The Office of Health Services in partnership with the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) are ready to get you on the right track. We understand healthier individuals can build a stronger, more productive workforce. Therefore, we are hosting a Year of Wellness during the 2016-2017 school year. We are encouraging all employees to provide a work environment that supports healthy living and individual well-being.
In efforts to get everyone up and moving, we are proud to introduce the Get Fit-Healthy Staff Wellness Program. Beginning October 2016 through March 2017, the Get Fit program will circulate through the district providing all Cumberland County School employees an opportunity to receive free one-hour workout sessions.
Each workout session will include:
- 15 minutes of nutritional information
- 15 minutes of muscle conditioning of upper and lower body plus abdominal work
- 30 minutes of aerobics
When the program comes to a school near you, principals will receive detailed information regarding staff requirements, location, dates and time for sessions. Visit the Get Fit Calendar to learn more.
